When my granddaughter was in Montessori School, Jan, her 1st, 2nd and 3rd grade teacher, asked if I would lead a mandala class for the students. I was a little nervous at first because I had only taught adults, but all took to mandalas very easily. My husband and I passed out white cover stock paper with a circle drawn on it and felt markers. I led a simple guided meditation and each class (I taught 4 different classes) was asked to draw their inner flower, inner sun, inner light or peace. In one hour some of the children did up to 3 mandalas and Jan said they were so much quieter than usual as they worked on the mandalas. Later, I heard, the kids begged to do mandalas when they had finished their assigned work.
Your joy of life and art are contagious. Your classes have really helped me expand myself in ways you will never know. Thank you.

I really appreciate all your energy; your mandala spirit ways. I am so happy to be painting again. It truly has been a loooong time. I wasn’t sure about starting. You have helped me to put art back into my heart.

Mandalas (and you) have changed my life forever for the better.
